Applying Design
Internal monitoring and auditing programs may also be created with a hybrid design process to improve the effectiveness of the compliance program. The design of the monitoring process, including the distribution of work, the auditing and monitoring schedule, audit worksheets, and checklists, can be created to be intuitive by using design tools discussed in this course, such as color, bold-face, and checklists with predictable check box locations. Computational design also may be used to embed edits into work flows to prevent or at least internally report non-compliant behavior.
Target Previous Findings
Previous government and accreditation audits of the entity should be collected in a file, and any findings or recommendations should form one of the key bases for the design of the auditing and monitoring system.
Utilizing Data analytics
Data analytics may be used to program computer systems to track high-risk areas as identified by previous government and accreditation findings, as well as to track the metrics on any corrective action plans in place.
